Lovely Yogi (was Yoki) has sadly come back into the care of DRA through no fault of his own. He is now 4 years old and has happily been living with a bitch in his previous home.
He is very loving, loyal and a great big cuddle monster.
Yogi loves a game of fetch with a ball, has had all the basic training, understands commands and walks well on a lead, although can be a little strong. He is desperate to be with you and smart so can easily open door handles!
He is high-prey drive and therefore not safe off lead around livestock – he will find and chase it. Gardens in his new home will need to have high fences and be fully secure. He is generally ok with other dogs when he gets to know them but can initially be fear reactive, particularly towards other males. We will not rehome him with small children, cats or other male dogs but he loves ‘his people’ and would prefer a home with someone around most of the time.
Yogi is a sweet sensitive soul who can initially be quite fearful when introduced to new surroundings or people, particularly men. He is very nervous walking in the dark. He wants a kind experienced Dobe owner to reassure him and give him confidence and in return he will make you his absolute world.
